KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: 1/21/2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve Resolution Authorizing Amendment No. 1 to <br />Contract LT-2024-001-Auditor-Internal Operations-2024 <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Auditor’s Office provides staff support to the <br />Kittitas County Lodging Tax Committee and Consolidated Lodging <br />Tax Committees. In 2024 the Auditors Office requested $105,363 in <br />funding for operational costs which was approved via contract LT- <br />2024-001-Auditor-Internal Operations 2024. However, additional <br />unbudgeted staff time was allocated to Lodging Tax during 2024, and <br />a request was made to increase the total award to $138,333 which <br />represents an additional $32,970 in personnel costs. On December 4th, <br />2024, the Kittitas County Lodging Tax met and approved this request. <br />Action is now requested from the BOCC via a formal contract <br />amendment. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Lodging approved the requested increase, and the <br />Prosecutors Office advised the Auditor that the best way to formally <br />appropriate the increase would be via a contract amendment. <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve Resolution Authorizing Amendment No. 1 to Contract LT- <br />2024-001-Auditor-Internal Operations-2024 <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Bryan Elliott, County Auditor <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
