KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: January 21, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the Chair's <br />Signature on the Puget Sound Energy Easement on a <br />Portion of Lot AP-1 and H-23 at Bowers Field for Utilities. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County is the property owner of the Kittitas County <br />Regional Airport - Bowers Field. The County leases <br />property for development. Over a combined ten lots <br />existing across two undeveloped island areas. These areas <br />are surrounded by pavement and are available for hangar <br />construction. <br />Electrical utility service is needed to serve the existing and <br />future hangars within these two island areas. Puget Sound <br />Energy (PSE) provides electrical service to the area. Public <br />Works has worked with PSE to obtain the necessary design <br />documents to expand electrical service to these areas. <br />PSE is requesting a nonexclusive perpetual easement on a <br />portion of Lot AP-1 and H-23 (Exhibit 1). The requested <br />easement is for PSE to operate, maintain and repair utility <br />systems for the purpose of supplying electricity to existing <br />and future hangars.
