KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: 1/07/2024 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Authorize a Change in Office Hours for the Kittitas <br />County Auditor’s Office <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners has the authority, <br />pursuant to RCW 36.16.100 and KCC 2.20.010, to modify and <br />approve changes, via resolution, to the hours of operation that County <br />offices shall be open for the transaction of business. <br /> <br /> The Auditor’s Office wishes to modify its hours starting in January <br />2025 to open at 8:30AM Monday through Friday. This change is <br />based on feedback from customer and staff who desire an earlier <br />opening time. However, in order to maintain current hours and not <br />impact the budget the Office desires to close at 3PM on Friday. <br /> <br /> We will reassess no later than March 3rd 2025 to determine whether <br />this change will remain in effect or if we will revert to our previous <br />schedule. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Pursuant to RCW 36.16.100 and KCC 2.20.010, Auditor seeks BOCC <br />approval for the change. <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution authorizing the change in office hours. <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Bryan Elliott, County Auditor <br /> <br /> <br />
