KITTITAS COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
AGENDA DATE:
ACTION REQUESTED
AGENDA STAFF REPORT
November 5, 2024
Request to Approve a Resolution to Award the bid
to furnish Snow & Ice Control Products for 2025.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Public Works went out to bid for
the furnishing of specific snow & ice control
products in accordance with specifications.
Bids were opened on October 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
in the Public Works Department and four (4) bids
were received. Of the four (4) bids, one (1) bid was
deemed to be an irregular proposal and not
accepted. This bid mentioned the addition of a fuel
surcharge; however, no amount was specified, nor
included in the per ton bid price for consideration.
Public Works recommends awarding the bid to the
two (2) Vendors as described in said Bid Tab
attached.
Additionally, as in previous years bids a Fuel
Escalation clause was added for clarification of
unstable fuel prices. This clause remained in this
year's bid and will remain in the contract award.
INTERACTION: Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve a Resolution to Award the bid to
furnish Snow & Ice Control Products for 2025.
HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works
ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Bid Tab
LEAD STAFF: Cameron Curtis, County Engineer
