BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />No.2024- lq'b <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF THE KITTITAS VALLEY EVENT <br />CENTER OFFICE <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners has the authority, pursuant to RCW <br />36.16.100, to approve changes by resolution in the days and hours that County offices <br />shall be kept open for the transaction ofbusiness; and <br />WHEREAS' the Kittitas Valley Event Center (KVEC) office has requested that the department be <br />closed to the public from December 2nd to December 6ft of this year; and <br />WIIEREAS, the purpose of the closure is to allow KVEC staff to attend training; and <br />WHEREAS, KVEC operations not involving the office will be open for business as usual; and <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners authorizes said closure of KVEC by action <br />taken at a regular or special meeting. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, <br />Washington, hereby approves and authorizes a change to the hours of service for the <br />Kiftitas Valley Event Center office such that the department will be closed to the public <br />from December2,2024 to December 6,2024. <br />DATED this 15ft day of October,2024, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COLINTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS coAHSEil,IASHING TON <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />ATTEST <br />thetr <br />Clerk of the Board
