BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024. 131 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERAGENCYAGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN WASHINGTON STATE HEALTH CARE AUTHORIry AND KITTITAS COUNry JAL <br />FOR REENTRY DEMONTSTRATION INITIATIVE PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for public <br />agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, The Washington State Health Care Authority wishes to designate the Kittitas <br />County Jailto furnish the necessary personnel, equipment, material and/or service(s) and <br />otherwise do all things necessary for or incidental to the performance of work set forth: and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County is desirous of accepting funds under the terms and conditions <br />mutually agreed upon by the parties to develop and implement a reentry demonstration <br />initiative; and <br />WHEREAS, the governing bodies of each of the parties to the lnteragency Agreement <br />attached hereto have determined to enter into this lnteragency Agreement for the period <br />from date fully executed until July 31 ,2028 unless terminated or extended upon written <br />ag reement between parties; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the lnteragency <br />Agreement for Reentry Demonstration Initiative project lnmates that is attached hereto, <br />and incorporated herein by this reference, and which shall be forthwith filed with the <br />Kittitas County Auditor pursuant to RCW 39.34.040. <br />ADOPTED this (nrh d ay of 2024. <br />BOARD OF OMMISSIONERS <br />U yvASHTNGTON <br />, Chairman <br />cz, Vice-Chair <br />o ht, Commissioner <br />APP VED AS TO FORMI <br />Douglas Mitchell, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney <br />"tCler*,of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />tr Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />RESOLUTION
