BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND THE WASHINGTON STATE <br />DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage, and <br />WHEREAS, in the course of fighting a recent fire in the Swauk Creek area, the <br />Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) found it necessary to rent a <br />Utility Vehicle from the Kittitas County Sheriffs Office (KCSO) under emergent conditions, <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, Washington State Department of Natural Resources has a process for <br />"Hire At Fire" for such equipment and is paying for the use of the specified Kittitas County <br />Sheriff Office's equipment, for emergency Wildiand Fire Suppression activities, as <br />described in the form attached hereto and incorporated by this reference. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY <br />ORDERED, that this Agreement between Kittitas County Sheriffs Office and The <br />Washington State Department of Natural Resources pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation <br />Act, chapter 39.34 RCW is adopted and shall be filed or published pursuant to RCW <br />39.34.040. <br />ADOPTED this day of <br />2024. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Chairman <br />Vice -Chair <br />Commissioner <br />ATTEST: APf <br />ED ASS OFIRM:� <br />Douglas R.
