KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: October 1, 2024 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interagency Agreement between The Washington State Department of Natural Resources <br />and The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office. For purposes of renting Kittitas Couty Sheriff <br />Office’s equipment for use in fire suppression activities. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: This Interagency Agreement is entered into by and between the <br />Washington State Department of Natural Resources and Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office. <br />While fighting a recent fire in the Swauk Creek area, the Washington State Department <br />of Natural Resources (DNR) found it necessary to rent a Utility Vehicle from the Kittitas <br />County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) under emergent conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: This Agreement was reviewed and approved by the Kittitas County <br />Prosecutor’s Office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION Request to Approve Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interagency Agreement between The Washington State Department of Natural Resources <br />and The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one signed Resolution to the Sheriff's Office. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Chief Deputy Kokjer
