KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: June 18, 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the use of 2023 Public <br />Facility (PF) Award to the City of Cle Elum constructing First Street <br />Improvement Phase 3 Downtown Revitalization. <br />BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners awarded the City of Cle Elum <br />$591,000 in Distressed County Sales and Use Tax (Public Facilities <br />Fund 108) in 2023 for the City's Phase 3C — First Street Downtown <br />Revitalization project (Resolution 2023-024). The Phase 3C project is <br />complete with $48,403.83 remaining in unspent funding. The City <br />has requested to utilize the remaining funds towards the local match <br />of the Phase 3 Downtown Revitalization project. Phase 3 is the final <br />project of the current downtown revitalization project. At the May <br />15, 2024 regular meeting of the Conference of Governments (COG), a <br />motion was approved the City of Cle Elum's request to retain surplus <br />funds from the Phae 3C project for use in the final phase of the <br />downtown revitalization project currently under construction. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City of Cle Elum to use 2023 Fund 108 funding award <br />to construct First Street Improvement Phase 3 Downtown <br />Revitalization. <br />HANDLING: Return One original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, Director <br />
