BOARD OF COLTNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />No. d0 8q-n^ <br />AUTHORIZING CONTRACTING AUTIIORITY FOR $5O,OOO FOR THE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DIRECTOR <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners recently appointed Mr. Chad Bala as the <br />Director of Community Development Services; and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners recently authorized the contracting with rwo <br />planning firms for task orders contracting with Community Development Services <br />(Resolution 2024-07 I); and <br />WHEREAS: There is an immediate need to engage planning consultants on delivering needed <br />land use planning support services; and <br />WHEREAS: The Director of Community Development Services is requesting $50,000 rn <br />contract task orders authority to immediately begin using the authorized planning <br />support services consultants. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners, after due <br />consideration, does hereby authorize the Director of Community Development Services to <br />negotiate and sign planning services task orders in the amount of $50,000 per task order for the <br />contract period. <br />DATED this 2l't day of May 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COLTNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS <br />Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Vice-Chairman <br />I Deputy Clgrk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner
