KITTITAS COUNTY <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: May 7"', 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing for 2:00 pm on May 215` <br />2024, to consider amending Kittitas County Code 2.04.010 <br />to allow Kittitas Community Development Services <br />Department to hold two Study Sessions per month. <br />BACKGROUND: The BOCC notices meeting times with department <br />directors in Kittitas County Code 2.04.010. The Board of <br />County Commissioners (BOCC) adjusted the <br />Kittitas County Community Development Services <br />Department (CDS) Study Session schedule by reducing it <br />from two to one study session a month in 2022. The <br />current code references CDS to one Study Session per <br />month with the BOCC. <br />The CDS Director finds benefit in holding two Study <br />Sessions per month and is proposing said change with this <br />amendment to County Code. <br />INTERACTION: Kittitas County Community Development Services <br />Department (CDS). <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for May 21s', 2024, at 2:00 pm to <br />Consider amending KCC 2.04.010. <br />HANDLING: Return one Public Notice to CDS. <br />ATTACHMENTS: None. <br />LEAD STAFF: Chad Bala, CDS Director. <br />
