KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: May 7, 2024 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Boards approval to advertise a call for bid for the Kittitas <br />County Correctional Facility Parking Lot and the North Parking Lot <br />Charging Station Project. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: In 2003 Kittitas County purchased the property between 6th and 7th <br />Avenue along Water Street. The property housed a Motel that was <br />removed and the property has been used as an unimproved parking lot <br />since. The county hired SCJ Alliance to design a parking lot that <br />would span the entire site and provide needed parking for the <br />Courthouse and the Jail. <br /> <br /> The County has applied for and received a Department of Commerce <br />grant that will provide funding for the required EV charging station to <br />be installed as part of the parking lot. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutors office, and Maintenance <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Boards approval to advertise a call to bid Kittitas <br />County Correctional Facility Parking Lot and the North Parking Lot <br />Charging Station Project. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Clerk to advertise call for bid. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Advertisement. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Stacey, Director <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
