KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />2024 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />February 20, 2024 <br />Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Chair <br />Signature on the Digital Submittal of the Road Levy <br />Certification to the County Road Administration <br />Board <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works is <br />required (WAC 136-150), on an annual basis, to <br />submit a certification of the road levy fixed and the <br />amount, if any, budgeted for traffic law <br />enforcement to the County Road Administration <br />Board (CRAB). This certification is a report <br />required by CRAB that includes information <br />regarding the road levy, diversion, estimated <br />revenue and bank capacity (Exhibit 1). <br />Recently the CRAB Annual Reporting System <br />(CARS) was updated. One update is the use of an <br />electronic submittal process for the Digital <br />Submittal Certification. In place of submitting paper <br />documents the Digital Signature Certification is <br />signed and submitted electronically through CARS. <br />Hard copies of the certification and signature sheet <br />are no longer being used. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution Authorizing Chair <br />Signature on the Digital Submittal Certification to <br />the County Road Administration Board. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution, Resolution 2023-206; Road Levy <br />Certification <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
