KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: February 6th, 2024 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing to Consider an Amendment to <br />Chapter 2.81 to Allow for the Sale of County Personal Property by a <br />Privately Operated Consignment Auction <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: In accordance with RCW 36.34.080, Auditor requests a public <br />hearing to amend Chapter 2.81 of Kittitas County Code to allow for <br />the sale of county personal property by a privately operated <br />consignment auction. This action is being taken under the advice of <br />the PAO to support the proposed contract with Enterprise Fleet <br />Management, which will enable the third party to mass market and <br />sell county vehicles on our behalf. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Auditors Office will work with the Prosecutors’ Office to provide <br />the specific language for the updated county code prior to the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve request for public hearing. <br /> <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> Copy – Auditor <br /> Copy – Prosecutor <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: None <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Bryan Elliott, County Auditor <br /> <br />
