AGENDA DATE: December 19, 2023
ACTION REQUESTED: Approve Ordinance Adopting the 2023 Annual Docket Amendments to
Kittitas County Code and Comprehensive Plan
BACKGROUND: The County is amending Kittitas County Code and Comprehensive Plan
through the annual docketing procedure required by KCC 15B.03.030.
The Kittitas County Planning Commission held a public hearing on
November 14 and 28, 2023, to consider 15 proposed amendments to
Kittitas County Code and/or Comprehensive Plan. The Planning
Commission made recommendations to the Board of Commissioners on
these proposed amendments.
The Board of County Commissioners held an open public hearing on
December 11, 2023. At the public hearing and after deliberation of the
proposed items, the Board of County Commissioners approved, or
approved with amendment, or remanded the proposed amendments. The
Commissioners at the hearing directed staff to prepare enabling documents
for the docket items.
INTERACTION: Community Development Services, Public Works, Prosecuting Attorney
and Board of County Commissioners.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Ordinance adopting Kittitas County’s 2023 Annual Docket
items as approved by the Board of Commissioners during the public
hearing on December 11, 2023 and authorize the Board Chair to sign the
updated zoning map.
