AGENDA DATE: December 19, 2023
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve a resolution adopting Kittitas County
Public Works Monthly Equipment Rental Rates pursuant to
Revised Code of Washington 36.33A.040 for 2024.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Public Works is required to maintain an
equipment rental and replacement fund pursuant to RCW
36.33A.10. Within this fund equipment is rented to other
funds, most specifically the Road Fund. It is required
pursuant to RCW 36.33A.40 that the rates are reviewed and
adopted annually. Rates for 2024 have been updated.
INTERACTION: Public Works.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution adopting the 2024 Equipment
Rental Rates for Public Works.
HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works

ADOPTING OF KITTITAS COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS MONTHLY EQUIPMENT
RENTAL RATES PURSUANT TO REVISED CODE OF WASHINGTON 36.33A.040
FOR 2024
WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works is required to maintain an Equipment Rental and
Replacement Fund (Fund 501) pursuant to Revised Code of Washington (RCW)
36.33A.10; and
WHEREAS: The basis of Equipment Rental was set to monthly rates per Resolution 2018-086;
and
WHEREAS: Equipment Rental Rates shall be subject to annual review by the Legislative body
pursuant to RCW 36.33A.40; and
WHEREAS: Monthly Equipment Rental Rates for 2024 are hereto attached to this Resolution
as Exhibit "A'; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best
interest of the public, does hereby adopt the monthly Equipment Rental Rates for
2024 within Kittitas County Fund 501.
