KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: December 19, 2023 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Advertise a Request for Statement of <br />Qualifications for Consulting Services Relating to <br />Transportation Modeling and Planning Services; Planning <br />Services; Professional Civil Engineering Services for the <br />Snoqualmie Pass Comprehensive Safety Plan project. <br />BACKGROUND: On January 31, 2023, Kittitas County was noticed of Safe <br />Streets and Roads for All grant funding award for the <br />development of the Snoqualmie Pass Comprehensive <br />Safety Plan. Initial coordination with stakeholder groups <br />has been ongoing. The project tasks now require outside <br />consulting services to complete. Public Works is requesting <br />Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified <br />professionals for consulting services relating to <br />transportation modeling and planning, planning services <br />and professional civil engineering services for the creation <br />of the Snoqualmie Pass Comprehensive Safety Plan. <br />Funding for the planning work will require a 20% local <br />match. Funding for the local match is available from the <br />Road fund. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize issuing a Request for Statement of Qualifications <br />for Consulting Services Relating to Transportation <br />Modeling and Planning Services; Planning Services; <br />Professional Civil Engineering Services for the Snoqualmie <br />Pass Comprehensive Safety Plan. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Request of Statement of Qualifications; Request <br />for Statement of Qualifications supporting the Snoqualmie <br />Pass Comprehensive Safety Plan <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
