ACTION REQUESTED:
Request to Acknowledge Disbursements Agreement for Card Issuance between Rapid Financial Solutions
and Kittitas County Superior Court.
BACKGROUND:
Currently all the courts in Kittitas County pay for jury service by issuance of checks. This Agreement will
allow electronic transfer of those funds to a prepaid debit card provided to the juror. The County will no
longer issue checks for said payments. Rapid Financial will assume the responsibility for the escheat
process for any unpaid funds remaining.
INTERACTION:
This change affects the Auditor, Treasurer, Superior Court, both District Courts, and IT who have all
reviewed the contract and the demonstration of the software and support the change. I have also received
Prosecutor approval.
RECOMMENDATION:
The BOCC to acknowledge the Agreement between Superior Court and Rapid Financial.
HANDLING:
Once said Agreement has been executed by all parties, a fully executed copy will be provided to the BOCC.
