RESOLUTION NO. 2023. 9 ] q
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE VANTAGE HIGHWAY PAVING PROJECT
(CRP 317-23) AND AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY ENGINEER TO EXECUTE THE
SAME
WHEREAS: The call for sealed bids supporting the Vantage Highway Paving Project (CRP
317-23) was authorizedby the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners on
October 10,2023; and
WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works solicited bids in accordance with RCW
36.77 .020 Contract Procedures; and
WHEREAS: Sealed bids were received and opened on November 9,2023, at 10:00 am; and
WHEREAS: There were three (3) responsive bids received for review; and
WHEREAS: The lowest responsive bid was from Granite Construction Company in the
amount of $1,857,910.00; and
WHEREAS: The County Engineer recommends the lowest responsive bid be accepted; and
NOW' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners finds it in
the best interest of the County to award the Contract for the Vantage Highway
Paving Project (CRP 317-23) to Granite Construction Company; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer is authorized to sign contract
documents for said project.
