AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATT]RE ON THE LOCAL AGENCY FEDERAL
AID PROJECT PROSPECTUS ENGINEERING PHASE FOR THE HUNTZINGER
ROAD SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 1 PROJECT CRP 318-23
WHEREAS: The Huntzinger Road Safety Improvements Phase I Project was awarded Federal
Funding through the 2023 Highway Safety Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS: The Federal Funding will be used for the preliminary engineering phase to
design, develop and prepare construction plans and specifications for these
improvements; and
WHEREAS: In preparation to begin work, Kittitas County Public Works is requesting the
Washington State Department of Transportation release the Federal Funds for
preliminary engineering; and
WHEREAS:A Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus must be executed by the Chair
of the Board of County Commissioners acknowledging the project has been
reviewed and is consistent with the County's comprehensive plan for community
development; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best
interest of the public, does hereby approve the Chair's signature on the Local
Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus for the Huntzinger Road Safety
Improvements Phase I Project CRP 318-23.
