A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING TO THE COUNTY ASSESSOR THE RESPECTIVE
AMOUNTS OF TAXES LEVIED FOR EACH TAXING DISTRICT
WHEREAS: It is the duty of each taxing district to file certified budgets or estimates with
the Board of County Commissioners, pursuant to RCW 84.52.020; and
WHEREAS: It is the duty of the Board of Commissioners to certify to the County Assessor
the respective amounts of taxes levied by the Board for each taxing district,
pursuant to RCW 84.52.070(l); and
WHEREAS: Each taxing district has filed certified budgets or estimates with the Board of
County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS: A copy of each taxing district's certified budget or estimate, as filed with the
Board of County Commissioners, is attached to this resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners
certifies to the Kittitas County Assessor the respective amount of levied by the Board for
each taxing district as set forth in each taxing district's certified budget or estimate, copies of
which are attached to this resolution.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF ELLENSBURG SCHOOL
DISTRICT NO. 40 l, KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON, as follows:
Section L Findings and Determinations. The Board of Directors (the "Board") of
Ellensburg School District No.401, Kittitas County, Washington (the "District") takes note of the
following facts and makes the following frndings and determinations:
(a) By Resolution No. 16.08.23,the Board adopted a budget for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 (the
2A23-24* Budget") that included certified General Fund educational programs and operation excess
properfy taxes in the amount of $10,200,000 to be levied n2023 and collected in2024.
O) The Budget also included certified Debt Service Fund excess property taxes to pay debt
service on all of the District's outslanding unlimited tax general obligation bonds in the amount of
$5,800,000 tobe levied rul.2023 and collected in2024.
(c) The Budget further included certified Capital Projects Fund excess property taxes in the
amount of $1,200,000 to be levied in2023 and collecte d,in2024.
Section 2. Certification of General.Fund Excess Prope4v Tax Levv. Pursuant to RCW
8452.020, the Board certifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington
and the Superintendent of Educational Service District No. 105, an excess property tax levy in the
amount of $ 10,200,000 to be levied in calendar year 2023 and collected in calendar year 2024 for the
District's General Fund. The Assessor of Kittitas County, Washington, is authorized and
directed, without further Board action, to reduce the General Fund exces$ property tax lerry
amount to be extended upon the tax rolls and collected in calendar year 2024 to he consistent
with the limitations imposed by RCW 84.52.0531
Section 3. Certification of Debt Service Fund Excess Propertv Tax Lev.v. Pursuant to
RCW 84.52.020, the Board certifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County,
Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District No. 105, an excess property tax
levy in the amount of $5,800,000 to be levied in calendar year 2023 and collected in calendar y ear 2024
for the District's Debt Service Fund.
