AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: December 5, 2023
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing for December 19,
2023, at 2:00 pm local time to consider a Lease with
Jack and Jan Clerf for property located at the
Kittitas County Airport, Bowers Field.
BACKGROUND: Jack and Jan Clerf have a private hangar located on
approximately 4845.16 square feet of leased Airport
property within the Aeronautical area. This 25-year
lease was entered into on August 1, 1993, and was
due for a 5-year renegotiation in August of this
year. After working with the Cler1 s, Staff has
secured an executed Lease on the new template at
the new lease rate of $0.16 per square foot. The
lease term is set for an additional thirty (30) years
ending on September 1, 2053. The lease did receive
legal review prior to obtaining the Clerf s
signatures.
INTERACTION: Public Works; Prosecuting Attorney's Office; Jack
and Jan Clerf
RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for December 19, 2023, to
consider a Lease with Jack and Jan Clerf for County
property located at Bowers Field Airport.
HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works

Auditorium, 205 West 5th Avenue, Room 109, Kittitas County Courthouse, Ellensburg, WA to consider a Lease with Jack
and Jan Clerf for property located at the Kittitas County Airport, Bowers Field.
