AGENDA DATE: December 5th, 2023
ACTION REQUESTED: Resolution Authorizing Amendment of the October 2023 Cold
Weather Shelter Contract with the Kittitas Valley Ministerial
Association
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County and the Kittitas Valley Ministerial Association a
502c(3) private non-profit organization in collaboration with
HopeSource, entered into a contract for the Cold Weather Shelter on
October 3, 2023; and Kittitas County and the Kittitas Valley
Ministerial Association desire to amend the terms of the contract by
removing HopeSource as a recipient, and adding Ellensburg
Foursquare Church.
INTERACTION: The Homelessness and Affordable Housing Advisory Committee met
on 12/4/2023 in an open public meeting and approved to remove
HopeSource as a recipient and add Ellensburg Foursquare Church in
their place. A Resolution and PSA has been drafted and reviewed by
the Prosecutor’s Office. Legal Request #037-0029048
RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution Authorizing an Amendment of the October
2023 Cold Weather Shelter Contract with the Kittitas Valley
Ministerial Association.
