AGENDA DATE: November 21, 2023
ACTION REQUESTED: Approve A Resolution Authorizing Amendment of the July 15, 2021,
Capital Improvement Program Contract with Hopesource
BACKGROUND: HopeSource is requesting an extension of the Teanaway Court project
commitment of $750,000.00 for the construction of 40 low income
units including 5 homeless units for an additional year. They have
received $2.03MM from Congress for this project and have gone in
for a third time for Housing Trust Funds. They feel optimistic at this
point considering the allocation for rural projects was not fully
requested, and we now have Federal funds. If funded by the HTF this
project should break ground next summer.
INTERACTION: Resolution and amendment drafted and reviewed by Prosecutor’s
Office. Legal Request #10211 Amendment was reviewed and
approved by the Homelessness and Affordable Housing Committee at
their Regular meeting on 11/6/2023.
