TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH SNOW & ICE CONTROL PRODUCTS F'OR 2024 AND
AUTHORIZE THE CO{INTY ENGINEER TO SIGN CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was advertised for Snow and Ice Control Products for 2024 on
October 5,2023, and October 12,2023; and
WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on October 19,2023, at2:00 p.m. in the office of Kittitas
County Public Works and four (a) bids were received; and
WHEREAS:The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bid of GMCO
Corporation for Item #1 Conosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride and for Item #3
RoadSaver - Soil Stabilizer; and the responsible bid of Pioneer Commodities and Bob
Rankin LLC for ltem#2 Non-Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride be accepted for
Snow & Ice Control Products for 2024; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest
of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2024 Snow & Ice Control Products to GMCO Corporation
for Item #1 Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride and for Item #3 RoadSaver - Soil Stabilizer;
and the responsible bid of Pioneer Commodities and Bob Rankin LLC for ltem#2 Non-Corosion
Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride to ensure availability of product, upon such terms and conditions as
specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s); and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer is authorized to sign the contract documents
upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s).
