AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: November 7, 2023
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve Chairs signature on Task Order #1 with KNIT.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County previously went out for an RFQ for design and
engineering services for assistance with County building repairs and
improvements. The County awarded the on call contract to KNIT for
these services.
This task order is for the first set of items that have been identified as
projects and repairs needed for the Jail. This includes the Exterior
and Interior repairs to the perimeter walls, Jail entry doors, Mop room
and Kitchen plumbing and wall repairs, outdoor recreation floor and
miscellaneous repairs, and a secure enclosure around the annex
control station.
This task order will also address the Fire Sprinkler system and give
alternatives for the repair and replacement.
INTERACTION: The Prosecutors office, Jail Staff and Maintenance Staff.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve a for Chairs Signature on Task Order #1 with KNIT.
