BUDGET MEETING MINUTES
BOCC AUDITORIUM ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 215 - ELLENSBURG
Tuesday 1:00 PM October 10, 2023
Board members present: Cory Wright, Brett Wachsmith, Laura Osiadacz
Others: Brian Carlson, Bryan Elliot, Zack DeHaven, Dora Van Epps, Andrew Yoder, Clay
Meyers, Ben Kokjer, Chris Whitsett, Steve Panattoni, Sharrie McPherson
1. Call to order: 1:00pm
2. Citizen Comments (1 min. time limit): None
3. Sheriff Budget
Mr. Carlson proposed to the board a change in presentation formating and the budget process
as a whole driven by topics an visibilty. The board unamiously voiced their support for this
approach. Mr. Carlson began at the end of the presentation and offered the board an
opportunity to review the total Sherrif budget appropriation. The board announced an informal
consensus of approval of the $19,004,479 Sheriff’s Office expense budget as presented. Mr.
Carlson outlined further details about the new methods for budget adpotion and review, highlited
by a focus on continus review and amendment. There were no questions or concerns.
