TO AUTHORIZE THE RENAMING AND REPURPOSING OF THE COMPUTER REPTACEMENT INTERNAL <br />SERVICE FUND TO THE ENTERPRISE TECHNOTOGY FUND <br />WHEREAS, <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />REsoLUrroN No.2o23- I +? <br />Kittitas County established Fund 5L7 as the Computer Replacement lnternal Service <br />(cRls) Fund via Resolution No. 2017-0i.0 for the purpose of funding the scheduled <br />workstation desktop, laptop, and monitor replacements, countywide, over the <br />anticipated life of the equipment; and <br />The Kittitas county Finance Division of the Auditor's office and the lnformation <br />Technology Department have collaborated in a comprehensive assessment of internal <br />tech nology-related procurement, bu dgeti ng, a n d ana lysis practices; and <br />The Kittitas county Finance Division of the Auditor's office and the lnformation <br />Technology Department jointly propose renaming Fund 517 from ,,Computer <br />Replacement lnternal service Fund" to "Enterprise Technology Fund" and repurposing <br />it to encompass all technology-related purchases which will simplify the technology <br />procurement process and related accounting, allowing for improved reporting, <br />ana lysis, and forecasting; <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE lT RESOTVED: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners hereby rescinds <br />Resolution No. 2017-010 and renames Fund 517 as the "Enterprise Technology Fund" which shall be <br />stewarded by the lT Department and authorizes the Kittitas County Auditor to make all necessary <br />alterations to the County's chart of accounts, effective January 1,2024. <br />NOW BE lT FURTHER RESOLVED: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners recognizes that <br />revisions to existing technology policies and a new Enterprise Technology Fund Policy, which will provide <br />for the mechanisms used to establish the Enterprise Technology Fund's budget as well as the procedures <br />for technology procurement, will be brought forth for approval before December 3'J,,2023. <br />DATED thi, -ffiy of october, 2023, atEllensburg, washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNry COMMISSIONERS <br />KI WASHINGTON <br />of Board - Julie Kjorsvik mr atrman <br />Chai <br />Deputy Clerk of the Board - Mandy Buchholz <br />Laura Osia dacz, Commissioner
