BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COTINTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021 ._a47 <br />AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO SIGN TASK ORDER NO. <br />1 WITH HLA ENGINEERING AND SURVEYING,INC. FOR THE FINAL DESIGN OF <br />THE KACHESS ROAD CULVERT REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has a master Task Order contract in place with HLA Engineering <br />and Surveying Inc. resulting from a solicitation effort from2020; and <br />WHEREAS: Jacobs Engineering is unable to finalize design of the Kachess Road Culvert <br />Replacement in a timely manner; and <br />WHEREAS: Concerns over the integrity of the existing metal culvert necessitate immediate <br />action ftnalizing culvert design components; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has negotiated a scope of work and fee for HLA Engineering and <br />Surveying, Inc. to complete final design of the needed culvert replacement, <br />NOW' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Director of Public Works signature on HLA <br />Engineering and Surveying, Inc.
