<br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 2023-_____ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING KITTITAS COUNTY TRAVEL POLICY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County has a Travel Policy which provides the guidelines and expectations to all <br />county employees when traveling while on official county business; and <br />WHEREAS, The Kittitas County Travel Policy requires updates to ensure it is in compliance with all <br />applicable State and Federal Laws in addition to best practices that ensure responsible <br />and efficient use of taxpayer funds; and <br />WHEREAS, The Kittitas County Auditor’s Office has completed updates to reflect process <br />improvements and those changes have been endorsed by the County Policy <br />Committee, Management Team, and reviewed by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, The updated policy provides language that permanently ties the county mileage <br />reimbursement rate to the standard Internal Revenue Service mileage reimbursement <br />guidelines. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners hereby <br />approves the updated Kittitas County Travel Policy as presented in Exhibit A. <br />NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: The Kittitas Board of County Commissioners does not require that <br />future mileage reimbursement rate changes be approved via formal resolution so long as the rates are in <br />accordance with the standard Internal Revenue Service guidelines. <br />DATED this 17th day of October, 2023, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> ________________________________ <br />Attest: Cory Wright, Chairman <br />________________________________ _______________________________ <br /> Clerk of the Board – Julie Kjorsvik Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman <br /> Deputy Clerk of the Board – Mandy Buchholz <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
