BOARD OF COTINTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COTINTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTTON NO. 2on - \Lp \ <br />AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS WATER RESOURCE MANAGER TO <br />ACCEPT FUNDING FROM THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF <br />ECOLOGY AND SIGN THE F'UNDING AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works submitted an aid application to the Washington <br />State Department of Ecology requesting funding to purchase a water right and <br />expand the Kittitas County Water Bank; and <br />WHEREAS: The Department of Ecology notified Kittitas County Public Works that funding <br />was authorized for the proposed water right and associated bank expansion <br />activities; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works has requested $595,000 from the Department of <br />Ecology; and <br />WHEREAS: Funding from the Department of Ecology will be utilized to complete the water <br />right acquisition authorized by Resolution No. 2022-140. <br />NOW' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Kittitas County Board of County <br />Commissioners declares it be in the best interest of the public to accept funding from the <br />Department of Ecology and authorizes the Public Works Water Resource Manager to sign the <br />funding agreement. <br />DATED this 3'd day of October2023,at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />, WASHINGTON <br />cory Chairman <br />Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />n Deputy Clerk qf the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />( <br />4 <br />() <br />it' <br />C.ot <br />Ut <br />t\ <br />J "/'
