SEPTEMBER 19, 2023 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright and Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith. Excused: Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Kate Jimenez, <br />Administrative Assistant; Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Mark <br />Cook, Public Works/CDS Director; Joshua Fredrickson, County <br />Engineer; Stephanie Hartung, Civil Chief Deputy, and 5 members of <br />the public. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING 1st STREET PORTION VACATION PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />declaring a proposed vacation of a portion of 1st St Right of Way in <br />Easton. <br /> <br />JOSHUA FREDRICKSON, COUNTY ENGINEER, reviewed the Director’s Report <br />of a Proposed Vacation of a Platted Right-of-Way within a Plat of <br />South Easton. Mr. Fredrickson reviewed the 9 requirements for <br />vacation per RCW 36.87.040 and recommended approval. <br /> <br />BEING NO ONE WANTED TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING <br />WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2023-156 1ST STREET PORTION VACATION PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH moved to approve Resolution No. 2023-156, to <br />authorize the Vacation of Right-of-Way of a portion of 1st Street <br />located in the Plat of South Easton and direct the County Engineer <br />to update (as pertinent) the County Road Log and other documents <br />associated with the Rights-of-Way Vacation. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTAION PROGRAM PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />At 2:08 p.m. CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />adopting the Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program for 2024- <br />2029 and the Annual Construction Program for 2024. <br /> <br />JOSHUA FREDRICKSON, COUNTY ENGINEER, reviewed a Staff Report <br />including the background of how the Six Year Transportation <br />Improvement Program was developed as well as the Annual Construction <br />Program. He recommended approval and the proposed Resolutions. <br />
