KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S STUDY SESSION - SPECIAL MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />WEDNESDAY 1 11:00 AM September 6, 2023 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright and Vice -Chairman Brett Wachsmith. <br />Others: Sheriff Clay Myers, Patti Stacey; Maintenance Director and Mark Cook; Public Works Director. <br />Citizen Comments: None <br />Update on EOC: Mark Cook provided an update on the EOC/SAR Facility Project: Homeland Grant <br />completed. Murray Grant not appropriated, site design has been billed, Public Works submission of <br />Building permit and Environmental Permit. <br />Discussion on I or 3 Phase Transformer. All support 3-Phase for project. Looking to October for <br />permitting of land clearing. <br />Pending: Well -Head Easement with City of Cie-Elum. <br />Public Works to manage project to awarding of build contract, then transfer to Building/Maintenance <br />Department. <br />Update on old SAR Building: Patti provided an update on the old SAR Building; will place on Surplus <br />sale. <br />Request to Approve a Resolution fixing base salaries of exempt command staff employees of the <br />Kittitas County Sheriffs Office in relationship to employees of represented bargaining unit <br />employees of the Sheriffs Office, superseding, and replacing Resolution 2022-125 — Sheriff Myers <br />requested approval of an updated Resolution setting wages for the Sheriff's Command Staff. Action <br />taken: Approval by Board. <br />Other Business: Sheriff Myers provided an update on increased cost of patrol vehicles, 1 OK base cost, <br />no change to delivery delays.
