COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. SEPTEMBER 18, 2023
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith; Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Kate Jimenez,
Administrative Assistant; Debbie Stanavich, Administrative
Assistant.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened the Office Administration
Meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending September 15, 2023.
CITIZEN COMMENT COMMISSIONERS
N/A.
FORM DOR FORM REV 64 0049 COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve and authorize Board
signature on Department of Revenue Form REV 64 0049 allowing the BoE
to convene after session, as presented. Commissioner Osiadacz
seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
APPOINTMENT VETERANS ADV BOARD COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve the appointment of Gayle
Scott to the Kittitas County Veterans Advisory Board effective
immediately and to authorize Chair signature on a letter of

appointment. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined that for the week of September 18, 2023, they
would post on their Facebook page the following: 1/10th of 1% grant
application announcement; property tax collection location in Upper
County; Kittcom Dispatcher recruitment; and Lower County Townhall
Meeting Press Release.
UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to
meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2023
were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin
meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at
future meetings.
Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective
departments and exchanged details of those meetings.
UPDATES BOCC/WHITE BOARDS COMMISSIONERS
The Board reviewed their updates/edits to each of their white
boards.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the
Board participated in, individually over the past week.
EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS
At 9:34 a.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting and announced
the Board would recess into an Executive Session under RCW 42.30.110
(b) To consider the selection of a site or the acquisition of real
estate by lease or purchase when public knowledge regarding such
consideration would cause a likelihood of increased price, for ten
minutes. No action was anticipated.
At 9:44 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No
action was taken.
Meeting concluded at 9:44 a.m.
