RESOLUTION NO. 2023 -
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING KITTITAS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE TO
PURCHASE 1 YEAR SERVICE CONTRACT FROM SMITHS DETECTION
WHEREAS, The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office had previously purchased a Smiths
Detection body scanner via Command Sourcing with a one-year extended service plan;
and
WHEREAS, the extended service plan was renewed for one year by Resolution
2022-147 on July 19, 2022; and
WHEREAS, that extended service plan is coming to an end October 10, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the proper operation of this scanner is vital to safe and efficient
operation of the Kittitas County Jail, and
WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office desires to renew the One Year
On -Site basic service contract through Smiths Detection for $13,323.00 plus applicable
sales tax, as the machine may need maintenance and this would ensure the machine is
properly serviced in a timely manner; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, the
Sheriff is authorized to sign all necessary forms and paperwork to renew the service
contract heretofore described.
