SEPTEMBER 5, 2023 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright & Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith. Excused: Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz, Office <br />Administrator; Stephanie Hartung, Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor; Josh <br />Frederickson, Engineer; Katrina Mankus, Juvenile Court Administrator; <br />Patti Stacey, Facilities & Waste Operations Director; Brian Carlson, <br />Budget & Finance Director; and 1 member of the public. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Wright called the meeting to order. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIENCE <br /> <br />Chairman Wright led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION OF NEW COUNTY EMPLOYEES – NONE <br /> <br />PROCLAMATIONS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve a Proclamation declaring <br />September 19, 2023, as National Voter Registration Day, and to encourage <br />citizens to check their registration at VoteWA.gov to ensure they are <br />ready and able to vote in the upcoming election. Chairman Wright <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION CONSTITUTION & CITIZENSHIP DAY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve a Proclamation declaring <br />September 17, 2023, as Constitution Day and Citizenship Day in Kittitas <br />County, and encourage all residents to join in a celebration near rotary <br />Pavilion to reaffirm commitment to a strong adherence to the <br />foundational principles put forth in the Constitution and law for <br />naturalization citizenship. Chairman Wright seconded. Motion carried 2- <br />0. <br />
