"Celebrating Good Citizenship on frrational Voter Registration Day,,

WHEREAS: the League of Women Voters of Kittitas County believes that active and engagedcitizens, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or political affiliation, are the hallmark of democrJcl,
and;
WHEREAS: for any democracy to work, all eligible citizens must protect the right to vote aswell as exercise it, and;
WHEREAS: the hallmark of good citizenship is community participation, including voting inevery election in which a ballot is received, and;
WHEREAS: good citizenship includes respecting other points of vier,v, keeping an open mind,and taking care of one another and the environment that sustains us, and;
WHEREAS: a thriving democracy includes governments that are open, transparent,
WIIEREAS: the League champions government systems that are open, transparent, inclusive,
and equitable, and;
NOW THEREFORE be it Proclaimed that September lg,2023,National Voter Registration
Day, citizens are encotuaged to remind friends and family to always be #VoteReady. We join
the Kittitas County League of Women Voters in reminding citizens to check their voter
registration at VoteWA.gov to ensure they are ready and ubl" to vote in the upcoming election.
