BUDGET MEETING MINUTES
BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG
Friday 8:00AM October 28, 2022
Board members present: Laura Osiadacz, Cory Wright, Brett Wachsmith
Others: Brian Carlson, Zack Dehaven, Sarah Keith, Katrina Mankus, Diana MacKenzie, Barb
Demory, Pat Gigstead, Patti Stacey, Judge Ellis & Stephanie George
1. Call to order: 8:00AM
2. Citizen Comments (1 min. time limit): None
3. 2023 General Fund for Courts Budget:
Mr. Carlson reviewed the six departments/offices which comprise the Courts “family”. The total
budgeted expense of $5.3MM reflects a reduction from 2022 budget driven by elimination of the
Public Defender contract expense, as the County will have a distinct department to provide this
service in 2023.
4. Other Business:
Patti Stacey is requesting signature from the board for the Quick claim deed for property that
was sold to D & N to finalize the transaction. Commissioner Wachsmith moved to sign and
Commissioner Wright seconed the motion to sign. The motion was approved unanimously.
