BUDGET MEETING MINUTES
BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG

Board members present: Laura Osiadacz Cory Wright, Brett Wachsmith
Others: Brian Carlson, Sheriff Clay Myers, Sherri McPherson, Patti Stacey, Julie Kjorsvik,
Chris Whitsett, Darren Higashiyama, Steve Panattoni
1. Call to order: 1:30PM
2. Citizen Comments (1 min. time limit): None
3. 2023 Projects Budget
Mr. Carlson and Ms. Stacey reviewed the requested and proposed projects for 2023, ranked by
Ms. Stacey. Mr. Carlson noted that the underlying budgets may include some double-counting,
as requests were not fully coordinated.
4. 2023 Sheriff’s Office Budget
Mr. Carlson reviewed SO budgets, and discussed dedicated revenue streams, expense drivers
and anomolies, and ARPA-funding requests.
5. Sales Tax Revenue
Mr. Carlson reviewed historic sales tax budgets and variance from actual receipts, and proposed
figures for the 2023 budget.
