BUDGET MEETING MINUTES
BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG
Tuesday 2:00PM October 11, 2022
Board members present: Laura Osiadacz, Cory Wright, Brett Wachsmith
Others: Brian Carlson, Mandy Buchholz, Patti Stacey, Jerry Pettit
1. Call to order: 2:00pm
2. Citizen Comments (1 min. time limit): None
3. Solid Waste Budget
Mr. Carlson and Ms. Stacey provided a history and analysis of solid waste operations, noting an
increase in contractor costs offset by fee revenues, a request for 1.4 FTE addition, and pending
capital projects for Cle Elum and new lower-county transfer station.
4. Maintenance Budget discussed
Mr. Carlson and Ms. Stacey provided a summary of the requested building maintenance budget,
including a requested 1 FTE increase for administrative assistance, and emphasizing the need
to adequately budget for deferred maintenance.
The “Shady Brook” department was also reviewed , with an anticipated close-out in 2023.
