ACTION REQUESTED:
Request to approve contract between Yakima County Juvenile Court and Kittitas County
Juvenile Court Services for detention services of Kittitas County juveniles.

This is an annual renewal of the juvenile detention facility access for qualified youth who
have been court ordered to detention or lawfully arrested and requiring detention pending
Juvenile Court review. The access to detention for youth is a statutory requirement. The
administration of detention facilities is a separate legal requirement. Yakima County
Juvenile Court provides juvenile detention facilities access because Kittitas County does
not maintain a detention facility.
INTERACTION:
The Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved as to form the contract (Prosecutor
Review Number #10015).
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve contract between the Yakima County Juvenile Court and Kittitas County
Juvenile Court Services for detention services of Kittitas County juveniles.
HANDLING:
Request 1 copy with signatures returned to Katrina Mankus. The original to be filed with
the BoCC.

Attached is one original of the professional services agreement and one copy.
