<br />Sealed bids will be received by Kittitas County Public Works, at the reception desk located at 4II North Ruby Street, Suite
<br />1, Ellensburg, Washington until 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 7,2023, and will then and there be opened and publicly
<br />read for the construction of the Cooke Canyon Road Bridge #80181 Replacement Project.
<br />All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in
<br />an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such
<br />contract and furnish satisfactory pertbrmance and payment bonds within the time stated in the specifications, the bid
<br />proposal deposit shall be fbrf-eited to the Kittitas County Public Works.
<br />The right is reserved to reject any and all bids and to waiver informalities in the bidding.

<br />and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant ro
<br />this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to
<br />this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an
<br />award.
<br />This project has a 14% DBE Goal, and 400 Training Hours Goal
<br />The improvement for which bids will be received is described below:
<br />The work to be performed within 90 (ninety) working days from the date of Notice to Proceed consists of fumishing all
<br />materials, equipment, tools, labor, and other work or items incidental thereto for:
<br />The removal of the existing canal bridge and replacement with a new concrete bridge structure as shown on the Plans. The
<br />project includes excavation for removal of the existing substructure and construction of the new substructure, wing walls,
<br />super structure, CIP toping slab, temporaty canalbypass, canal restoration, removal of existing roadway pavement, raising
<br />the roadway grade and establishing a new roadway profile, HMA pavement, new driveway approaches, and new canal road
<br />approaches. Additional items of work include, but are not limited to, traffic control, installation and removal of haffic
<br />detour, permanent signage, pavement marking, culverts, relocation of fences and gates, shoulder and ditch grading, and other
<br />work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.
<br />Engineer's estimated range for the project is $1.6 - 92.2 Million.
