KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: August 15, 2023 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request to Approve a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the 1/10th of 1% <br />Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Tax, and Request to <br />Publish the Public Notice <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> The 1/10th of 1% Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Tax <br />Advisory Board has been working on this Request for Proposal (RFP) <br />and is pleased to present it to the BoCC for consideration and <br />approval. The template used was from the Kittitas County <br />Homelessness and Affordable Housing Committee’s 2021 RFP. <br />Changes made include adding the SMART Goals requirement and <br />successful benchmarks that will correspond with grantees’ reporting <br />requirements at 6, 12, 18, and 24 months. Upon BoCC approval, the <br />application will be made public on September 1st. To apply, <br />applicants will use an accessible online webform in Qualtrics. <br />Deadline to apply is October 9, 2023. <br /> <br />The Public Notice will be published on 8/31/23 in The Daily Record <br />and Northern Kittitas County Tribune, and again in The Daily Record <br />on 9/1/23. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br /> The 1/10th of 1% Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Tax <br />Advisory Board has guided and reviewed this document over the last <br />two months, developing definitions and refining the application <br />questions. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> Approve Request for Proposal (RFP) for the 1/10th of 1% Mental <br />Health and Chemical Dependency Tax <br /> <br />Approve Request to Publish Public Notice for the RFP <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br /> Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> Copy – Marie Marchand, Clerk of the 1/10th of 1% Board <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br /> RFP Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) <br />RFP Application Questions <br />RFP Goals and Objectives Table
