Summary: The Secretary of States Office (OSOS) has distributed a contract to all 39 counties to enable
data sharing within the VoteWa system and to ensure sensitive data is managed in accordance with
state law and the policies of the Office of Cybersecurity. This agreement is in addition to our existing
maintenance and support agreement. There are no additional costs associated with this new contract
and it does not materially change the way in which we currently go to business. The contract has been
reviewed and amended by the PAO. This amended version is in alignment with what the other counties
have submitted to OSOS.
Recommendation: Requesting BOCC acknowledgement of Auditor’s Signature on VoteWa Data Sharing
Agreement.
