SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 1:30 P.M. JULY 25, 2023
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright, Commissioner Laura
Osiadacz. Excused: Vice Chairman Brett Wachsmith.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Amy McGuffin, Chief
Executive Officer, Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce; Margaret
Reich, Director of Centerfuse; Kelle Vandenberg, Arts & Economic
Development Manager – City of Ellensburg.
SPECIAL MEETING CHAMBER OF COMMERCE COMMISSIONERS
At 1:30 p.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to receive a
quarterly update from the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce
CEO/ADO.
Amy McGuffin, Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive
Officer, provided an update on the new biennium for the ADO, their
measurables for the County vs the State and reviewed a handout that
covered the Chamber’s target summary for 2022 – 2023 activities by
sector as well as economy and countries of immigration for Kittitas
County. She reviewed the household income annually and the ADO
business plan reporting obligations for the 2023 – 2025 biennium as
well as what her own goals were for the year. She provided samples
of the past three years stakeholder primary scorecard totals for the
Board to see the area’s of change.
There was discussion on the type of community outreach that is being
done by the Chamber and the KPI’s through the State. There was
discussion on a future summit that would collaborate with other area
partners in the County such as municipalities and the University.
