Contract/Grant Summary:
State funding was allocated to local law enforcement to verify the address and residency of all registered
sex offenders and kidnapping offenders under RCW 9A.44.130. The grant award is effective July 1, 2023
and expires on June 30, 2024. Quarterly grant reports are to be completed electronically and emailed to
RSO coordinators. Reports must be received by WASPC prior to grant payments being issued to KCSO.
These funds are required to be used for face-to-face verification of a sex offender's address at their
reported place of residency. The frequency of these verifications depends on the offender's Level (i.e., the
degree of public safety risk presented by the offender).
