AGENDA DATE: August 1, 2023
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge a Memorandum of Understanding
between the Kittitas County Jail and Merit Resources
BACKGROUND: Merit Resources is partnering with community agencies for the
purpose of exchanging information regarding case reviews at each meeting of the OWG
(operational work group). Their work plan is to discuss new arrest diversions or social
contact referrals, and jointly problem solve to identify options and potential solutions to
support clients' progress.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed and
approved.
RECOMMENDATION: Acknowledge a Memorandum of Understanding between the
Kittitas County Jail and Merit Resources.
