AGENDA SESSION STAFF REPORT
AGENDA SESSION DATE: August 1, 2023
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution selecting Integrated
Solutions Consulting for the Update of the 2019 Kittitas
County Hazard Mitigation Plan and authorize the Public
Works Water Resource Manager to negotiate and
execute a Professional Services Agreement.
BACKGROUND: On May 16, 2023, the Kittitas County Board of County
Commissioners authorized advertisement of a request for
statement of qualifications for the Update of the 2019
Kittitas County Hazard Mitigation Plan.
INTERACTION:
Three (3) submittals were received by the closing date of
June 9, 2023, and were reviewed by Kittitas County
Public Works staff. Two firms were interviewed by a
panel of Public Works and Public Health Staff.
Staff is recommending that Integrated Solutions
Consulting be the selected firm for this project.

RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution selecting Integrated Solutions
Consulting for the Update of the 2019 Kittitas County
Hazard Mitigation Plan and authorize the Public Works
Water Resource Manager to negotiate and execute a
Professional Services Agreement.

RESOLUTION NO. 2023 -
AUTHORIZING THE SELECTION OF INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS CONSULTING
FOR THE UPDATE OF THE 2019 HITTITAS COUNTY HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN
AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS WATER RESOURCE MANAGER TO
NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR
SAID PROJECT
WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works advertised a Request for Statement of
Qualifications to update the 2019 Kittitas County Hazard Mitigation Plan; and
WHEREAS: Submittals were due on June 9, 2023; and
WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works received three (3) submittals from qualified firms
who submitted their qualifications for review; and
WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works reviewed the submittals, conducted interviews, and
recommends Integrated Solutions Consulting to be the selected firm for said
services.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best
interest of the public, does hereby select Integrated Solutions Consulting for the
Update of the 2019 Kittitas County Hazard Mitigation Plan and authorizes the
Public Works Water Resource Manager to Negotiate and Execute a Professional
Services Agreement for said project.
