KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />August 1, 2023 <br />Request to set a Public Hearing for August 15, <br />2023, at 2:00 pm to consider a speed increase on <br />Wilson Creek Road between Judge Ronald Road <br />and Game Farm Road and amend Kittitas County <br />Code Chapter 10.08 Speed Limits on County <br />Roads. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works <br />received a request from a resident to conduct a <br />speed study and consider an increase of the posted <br />35 MPH speed on Wilson Creek Road between <br />Judge Ronald Road and Game Farm Road <br />(milepoint 0.50 to 1.01). The speed study was <br />conducted, and Public Works is now requesting to <br />set a Public Hearing to receive public testimony and <br />discuss the results of said study. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for August 15, 2023, at 2:00 <br />pm to consider a speed increase on Wilson Creek <br />Road from milepoint 0.50 to milepoint 1.01 and <br />amend Kittitas County Code Chapter 10.08 Speed <br />Limits on County Roads. <br />HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public <br />Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
