KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Juvenile Court Services <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: August 1, 2023 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request to approve Special Sex Offender Disposition Alternative (SSODA) Sub -Contract <br />between Kristi Hunziker and Juvenile Court Services. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Washington Juvenile Law provides a disposition (sentencing) alternative for qualifying <br />juvenile sex offenders called SSODA (RCW 13.40.162). The program is implemented <br />through our CJS Block Grant with the Department of Children, Youth, and Families <br />(DCYF). This professional services agreement is to ensure a qualified treatment provider <br />exists to serve Kittitas County Juvenile Court Services. This is a long-standing service <br />provider relationship repeated on an annual basis and is funded through the CJS Block <br />Grant. <br />INTERACTION: <br />The Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved as to form the contract (Prosecutor <br />Review Number #27804). <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve Special Sex Offender Disposition Alternative (SSODA) Sub -Contract with <br />licensed provider. <br />HANDLING: <br />Request 1 copy with signatures returned to Katrina Mankus.
